My name is Melissa Herz. I go by the name of Herzart in the Art World. There has never been a time in my life when I was not creating. I see art in everything around me.
Drawing inspiration by organic movements and water, I create as if the world is broken into many pieces rather than a whole.
As if it is playing tricks, I see the way light reflects in separate pieces that then flow into one body of work.
Alcohol inks are my desired medium. Inks have a mind of their own and each piece is a separate challenge. With every ebb and flow a unique piece of art is borne.
Being able to create functional artwork is a great passion of mine. It could be art on the walls - I love this! Beyond the walls my designs are perfect for bath areas as shower curtains, bath mats, and towels. In the bedroom, Herzart transforms into comforters, pillows, and curtains. Tapestries from my designs can be hung as focal pieces anywhere that needs a special touch.
Herzart brings these gorgeous modern abstract designs to calendars, sketchbooks and notebooks.
